Settlement

If you’re self-represented, you’ll be offered a cooling off period. This means you and the other side get three days to change your mind.

If you do change your mind about the settlement agreement, you must write to us within the cooling off period and tell us. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume the claim has resolved and the dispute is at an end.

The conciliator will tell you if the cooling off period applies to you and how it works.
