At the end of the conciliation, you’ll find yourself in one of two situations. You’ll have agreed on how to settle the case — or you won’t.

If you reach an agreement, the conciliator will confirm the details of the agreement terms with both sides. They can help you put the agreement in writing using the standard Commission terms of settlement. Otherwise, you or the other side can write the settlement document.

After the conciliation, read the settlement document carefully. Make sure it includes the things you agreed to.
